Duties and Responsibilities

The Instructional Design Specialist is primarily responsible for designing and developing learning courses, presentations, facilitator and participant guides, and assessments. The role will also support various learning initiatives and help provide learning solutions; Some of the core tasks include curriculum creation and maintenance, communications crafting, creating and editing content, reporting, and output evaluation and analysis. The role will also support various learning initiatives and help provide learning solutions; Some of the core tasks include curriculum creation and maintenance, communications crafting, creating and editing content, reporting, and output evaluation and analysis.

  1. Designs, creates, and modifies learning materials: e-learning courses, PowerPoint/Google Presentation modules, instructor and participant guides, assessments, and supplementary activities.
  2. Reviews and evaluates external training materials; revises existing training materials and creates new curriculum and modules as needed
  3. Develops programs and workshops for various tiers.
  4. Designs and develops entire courses or curriculums and creates training materials, such as training manuals and participant guides.
  5. Consults, analyzes, and develops highly engaging and interactive learning solutions focused on campaign-specific job competency development.
  6. Applies advanced adult learning theories into practical, application-based learning strategies.
  7. Develops comprehensive measurement strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate business impact and effectiveness.
  8. Acquires and applies new technology skills to instructional design practice.
  9. Remains a thought leader in instructional design and innovation.
  10. Designs learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of any 4-year course from an accredited university or institution; Obtained related Master’s Degree and Licensed Professionals are highly desirable
  2. At least 5 years of related experience in training, education, curriculum development, and instructional design
  3. Strong interpersonal and above-average communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of clientele in a diverse workplace
  4. Expertise and understanding of Learning Models (ADDIE, Kirk Patrick's Level of Training Evaluation and Bloom's Learning Taxonomy); Adult Learning Principles/Methodology, Pedagogical design expertise
  5. Great understanding in wide Learning Technology Experience (Sharepoint, Captivate, Lessonly, Articulate 360.; Microsoft Office Suites, Google Workspaces, Authoring and publishing applications, LMS management, SCORM, Articulate, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver
  6. Knowledgeable of Presentation Technology Experience (video, ILT, on-demand (self-phase) Visual Aid and Artistic Talents
  7. Project management & Transitions management experience is a plus
  8. Passionate about learning, knowledge, and development
