Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Compliance Officer - Quality and Operations Systems is responsible for ensuring that the operations and client transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules. This role will be responsible for analyzing and enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business for the various industries the company supports -- locally and internationally -- as well as provide guidance on compliance matters. The Senior Compliance Officer’s goal is to preserve the company’s integrity by making sure it stays on a lawful and ethical course.

  1. Leads and supervises compliance to the client and internal standards
  2. Develops and oversees control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
  3. Evaluates the efficiency of controls and improves them continuously
  4. Manages operational compliance with international standards and certification requirements
  5. Revises procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
  6. Drafts, modifies, and implements company policies
  7. Collaborates with corporate counsels, Training, Infosec, and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
  8. Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
  9. Reviews the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
  10. Keeps abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
  11. Prepares reports for senior leadership and external regulatory bodies as appropriate

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of BS/BA in law, finance, business administration, or related field
  2. 3+ years of proven experience as Compliance Analyst, Officer, or Manager
  3. In-depth knowledge of the industry  standards and regulations, particularly in the areas of Healthcare and Banking and Financial Services
  4. A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Prior experience managing audit and certification activities for large companies
  7. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping
  8. Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
  9. An analytical mind is able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
