About You

You’re a creative designer with experience in both print and electronic media, with an instinctual eye for minimal, modern, and compelling design.

You can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, videos, layouts and other designs. The successful candidate should have an intimate experience developing high-end, compelling media that drive a positive return against the target audience.

The Job

As a key player on SupportNinja’s Brand Team, you will work out of our Austin, TX headquarters (“The Dojo”) and collaborate with team members in The Philippines (“The Hideout”) and San Francisco. You will develop and execute on unique and cost-effective campaigns producing compelling, minimalistic and effective video, digital and print materials. Additionally, you will act as a key brand stakeholder, working to elevate the SupportNinja brand across international, national, and local markets. This is a six month contract with the opportunity to grow into a permanent position.

  • Working closely with Head of Media & Brand Strategy, develop unique and cost-effective creative briefs for client and lead facing media then present to leadership team and stakeholders.
  • Execute on approved creative briefs and incorporate feedback from Head of Media & Brand Strategy and leadership team.
  • Design visually stunning digital and print content that captures SupportNinja’s mission, vision and resonates with widely varying markets across North America, Asia, and Europe while elevating the overall brand.
  • Coach Philippines based Production Artist, ensuring Filipino facing content remains on brand.
  • Manage on location video/photo shoots as directed by Head of Media and Brand Strategy.
  • Coordinate meetings, calls, workflow with external designers, print houses and vendors, as directed by Head of Media & Brand Strategy.
  • Play key role in creative brainstorming meetings as design subject matter expert.
  • Act as brand ambassador, promoting brand internally across all departments.

Requirements

  • 2.5+ years of design experience with a portfolio including minimalistic and modern video, photo, and print work.
  • Adobe CC Photoshop, Premier, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom. After Effects a plus.
  • Experience handling on location video/photo shoots. Bonus if you’ve coordinated these remotely.
  • Experience shooting video and photo on DSLR cameras.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and constantly scaling environment.
  • Avid media consumer with an interest in the effect of media communication/consumption.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal communications, active listening and excellent written grammar and spelling. Diligent note taking capabilities.
