Duties and Responsibilities

The Tax Specialist is responsible for conducting Philippine Tax-related responsibilities to ensure SupportNinja’s compliance with the laws and regulations, including but not limited to Tax Liability Research, Tax Documentation, Tax Advice, and Tax policies and procedures.

  1. Handles BIR and all tax-related compliance and investigations; prepare timely and accurate tax filing and remittance of tax obligation
  2. Prepares written replies on requests for tax opinions on national and local tax, international tax and tariff, and customs duties
  3. Conducts research and prepare position papers on recurring and non-recurring tax issues
  4. Helps in the planning and initiation of tax-effective measures and alternatives to reduce the tax liabilities
  5. Reviews and analyzes new revenue legislation, revenue regulations, and other revenue measures, including proposed legislation and ordinances
  6. Provides litigation support services; Ensures that the company’s tax position, practices, and procedures are in compliance with existing tax laws, regulations, and rulings.
  7. Reviews contracts and other documents with tax implications as may be assigned by the Finance Manager and Accounting Supervisor
  8. Coordinates with external consultants on tax issues and matters requiring professional advice or expert opinion.
  9. Assists on tax assessments, whether local and national tax, and ensure audit readiness of all tax-related filings and documentation 
  10. Proper files all documentation of BIR Certificate of Registrations, tax returns and filing reference, receipts of tax payments, etc.



  1. Must be a graduate of Accounting, Business Administration major in Finance Management or any trade equivalent
  2. Must have at least 3 years of experience in performing all tax functions. CPA is preferred.
  3. Proficient in using Microsoft and Google office
  4. Deep understanding and excellence in Tax Liabilities, Tax Documentation, Tax Advice, and Tax Policies and Procedures
  5. Expertise in Tax Laws, Accounting, and the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards
  6. Excellent Business Acumen and Ethical Practice
  7. Exceeding ability to focus and be accurate & detail-oriented; High level in Analytical and Numerical Skills, Negotiation Skills; Judgement & Decision Making Skills
  8. Has strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  9. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
